Penne with tomato, nuts, milk and garlic

500 gr penne
1 small onion finely chopped
2 x 400 gr can of tomatoes or fresh tomatoes finely chopped
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup almond or hazelnut meal
2 cloves of garlic crushed
400 gr sausages
Olive oil
Salt to taste
1 tbsp sugar

Saute onion in 5 tbsp olive oil for 4 minutes.

Add the sausage cut in 1 inch pieces.

Saute for 8 minutes.

Add the tomatoes and the sugar and cook for about 15 minutes or until sauce is cooked. Add salt to taste.

Mix milk, crushed garlic and almond or hazelnut meal.

Add to sauce and simmer for 3 or 4 more minutes.

Add sauce to drained pasta and mix well over very low heat for 2 minutes or so.

Serve.
